About the event
In this class we will work on musical interpretation and channelling energy into the dance. The use of pauses and off-beats will integrate your dance and bring nuance to it.
In the first lessons we will use simple structures as a support until we reach more complex movements at the end of the semester. This season our main theme will be the variation.
A variation is the passage of notes added and harmonised contrapuntally to the natural melody of a tango. In most cases, it is intended to be played by the bandoneon section of the orchestra and, exceptionally, by other instruments.
The variations, that push of encouragement to the milongueros at the climax of a tango or a waltz, must be treated with a lot of care and polenta on the dance floor.
The objectives of the course will be:
1) Learn to listen to music.
