TANGO FACTORY present the new course cycle 2019 -2020
Although the name might suggest otherwise, TANGO FACTORY is a school on a individual level. We like to see every student as a dancer in our tango family.
Our priority is the quality of the courses, for this reason we work on 3 aspects:
1 - We have a limit of 10 couples for group courses and 5 couples for semi-private courses. This allows us to visit each couple several times during the classes, in order to advise each couple as well as on an individual basis. In addition, teachers do not only talk and explain to students, they also dance with them;
2- The quality of our teachers: they all have a great pedagogical experience;
3- The themes and didactic of the courses are programmed in advance: we set objectives for each term and then develop them throughout the term course by course. In other words, the courses are programmed and designed organically for the entire term and not individually from week to week. Each course consists of two parts: a first technical part; a second part characterized by the development of the figure we are working on and in which we apply the technique worked on in the first part of the course.
You may think of stretching as something performed only by runners or gymnasts. But we all need to stretch in order to protect our mobility and independence. "A lot of people don't understand that stretching has to happen on a regular basis.

Introduction to the tango universe.
This is a course dedicated to transmit the bases and knowledge of Tango dance and introducing you to its magnificent cultural universe, in a fun and pleasant context. We will teach you to dance creatively and freely, to strengthen your body awareness and attention to others in the connection of the abrazo (embrace), to express the beauty and strength of your body and to listen to music to be inspired by its notes.

The essential of tango.
A course to deepen the technical elements of embrace, connection with the partner and with the floor. We will start with simple structures and course after course we will arrive at complex combinations. The sequences will be an opportunity to test and improve the technical basis. Each course will be preceded by technical exercises for individuals or couples.

This course focus on the development of improvisation.
Objective: to improve the creativity in dance while respecting circular or linear structures. The ability to improvise and creativity will be stimulated through different exercises that involve the invention of fictitious obstacles, interaction between partners within the couple and more. In each course we will work on improvisation through a linear or circular structure.

SEMI-PRIVATE COURSE
EVERY TWO WEEKS -Thursday 20:30 - 21:45

Enjoy an intensive course of 1h15, cheaper than a private course, more effective than a group course and where teachers work specifically with each couple.
Musical interpretation and channeling of energy in dance.
The objectives of the course will be:
1) Learning to listen to music;
2) learn to channel the energy of movement and to play with different intensities according to the music;
3) find and enhance the strengths of each couple;
In the first lessons we will use, as a support, simple structures until we reach more complex structures at the end of the course
MAXIMUM 5 COUPLES.
We propose 2 series of COURSES:
1st series: Thursday 19 September, 03 - 17 October, 07 - 21 November, 05 December.
2nd series: Thursday 26 September, 10 - 24 October, 14 - 28 November, 12 December.

COURSE "Tango Fantasia (Choreography)"
EVERY TWO WEEKS from 19:00 to 20:30

In this course we will work on some choreographic elements. The objective is to work in dynamics, lines, utilization of the space, interpretation of music. Elements of Tango Fantasy will be applied. At the end of the course we will make a performance in our practica.

COURSE "El Tango de antes"
Thee feeling and the roots of tango:
Friday from 19:00 to 20:30

In this course we will explore the reasons why people talk about dancing with the old milongueros feels so great. Both for leader and followers. We will choose a different milonguero every week and analyse their style and moves and how with time these moves became a defining characteristic of tango and are used now a days by profesional and social dancers all over the world. But mainly we will focus in understanding the mind set that make them find their style and why dancers from all generations in argentina always choose to dance with them and talk about how confortable the feeling is. It is also interesting to point out that many of them were dancing at the same time that the music was being composed, so it is fair to say that the music influenced their dance as much as their moves influenced the composers.

TECHNIQUE COURSE FOR ALL

This course is for all levels. Balance, posture, embellishment, ground grip are worked on from the beginning of your learning and maintained until the end. We will work to further develop those aspects.

This course is prepared for those who manage well the basis of tango (cross, ochos, turns and combination for the dance). In this level we are going to learn classic elements with a certain complexity in tango, such as barridas and boleos.
